Making fun of Arkansas

Throughout the semester, our property class made fun of Arkansas for failing to abolish the Rule in Shelley's Case. Those people in Arkansas were so backward!

Well, now that I'm done with my property final--and have no reason whatsoever to care about the Rule in Shelley's Case ever again--I've gone and found this (second one down).

No more making fun of Arkansas.

Oh, come on. I lived in Arkansas for a while before moving across the river to Tennessee. There's plenty of reason to make fun of Arkansas, still.

Start with the Governor, Mike Huckabee. I'd call him an idiot, save that this would be unfair to all the idiots out there. Once upon a time, a Canadian comedy show interviewed Huckabee, and told him that the Canadian parliament had just moved from an igloo into a brand new parliament building.

The stupid bastard bought it.

Laugh away at Arkansas. I do all the time, now that I don't live there (when I lived there, I had to cry....)

I've heard some stories about Huckabee. It makes me wonder which type of elected official shows the widest variation when it comes to quality. I tend to think it's either Congressional representatives or Governors.

There are some really good ones, and some really, really bad ones...
