We had two cats--mother and daughter. They were both very small in stature, but titanic in spirit.

Judging by the ferocious nature of that little cat, I'd bet it's bigger than it looks.

Also, how can a little kitten be random? I'd bet he doesn't consider himself random.

I agree with Brian. Little kittens cannot be random.

The lay person misuses the word "random". They use it to mean "chosen according to criteria over which I had no control." Of course, Brian is right--once an individual has been selected, it's no longer random. It may have been selected from a random distribution (where random is not equal to uniform). But the cat itself is not random. Variables are random. Distributions are random. Cats are carnivores.

Aye, especially that one.

Barring the posibility that the above photo has been doctored in some way, that small kitten is clearly doing its best to devour those toes. Last time I checked, toes are made out of meat. Thus we must conclude that the kitten in question is at the very least omnivorous, and probably carnivorous as most folks keep plants around the house, and the tiny kitten clearly prefers those toes to the probably-present ficus.

Aaaah! Heart attack! That kitten better not be eating any ficuses. All the plants in that room are mine.

Carey, you *are* watering my plants and making sure no vicious evil beasties are eating them, right?

Now now Heidi, that kitten is not evil.

Many folks assume that being wantonly destructive is akin to being evil. I can tell you from personal experience, that's not the case. It is a natural thing for a small kitten to destroy. It has teeth and claws and, judging from that picture, it's learning how to use them.

Again, it's the nature of small kittens to be destructive (though not to ficuses). :)

Anything eating my plants is evil. Eeeevil, I tell you.

Little Gus is definitely bigger than he looks. His spirit is very titanic--or mischievous--or titanically mischievious... oh, hell, he's a little cat! Which means he has influence far beyond his very small and virtually weightless stature.

As for eating the ficuses, don't worry. It's the big black panther-looking cat who's eating all the plants.
